Parish Buying offers you a range of energy solutions, including gas, electricity and oil.

Energy can be the most significant spend for parishes therefore good pricing is important as is contract management to ensure tariffs remain competitive and parishes are not "rolled over" into uncompetitive contracts. Parish Buying offers both.

Electricity & Gas

Our approved energy consultant for contracted electricity and gas will survey the market and offer a parish the top three rates available at that point in time. This service also includes a bill validation service to ensure you are not overpaying VAT or Climate Change Levy (CCL) etc.

The Energy Basket

For the first time in 2013, parishes can pool their energy spend and buy electricity and gas in bulk. Supermarkets, hospitals and national and local government purchase in this way to take advantage of their economies of scale. Now parishes, cathedrals, diocesan offices and church schools can access prices based on our combined electricity and gas spends resulting in significant savings across the Church - releasing financial resource for mission and ministry!  Find out more

Green Energy

If you would prefer to use green energy we can also assist you in this. We have appointed 2 national suppliers to provide green energy. By purchasing your green electricity through Parish Buying you are eligible for a % discount off the standard tariffs. At the moment we can offer a monthly non-contracted electricity option. A contracted green energy tariff is a potential future addition to this site.

Oil

Parish Buying also has an approved supplier for oil. This service offers very competitive pricing and also an enhanced service agreement. When there is a limited supply of oil, for example during a cold winter, Parish Buying customers will be treated as a priority for delivery.
