Contactless card readers are no longer a nice to have item but are an essential piece of equipment for all churches now that fewer people are carrying cash, and contactless payments can be made from mobile phones as well as debit and credit cards.
At Parish Buying we have teamed up with Visa and SumUp to provide churches with the equipment needed to receive contactless donations in churches. There are 300 stands, 300 card readers and 200 tablets up for grabs. The stand has been specially designed to fit a 7inch Android tablet and a SumUp reader, and is equipped with a notice-holder to help support donations.
If you wish to apply you will need to ensure that your church has connectivity, which can either be WiFi or 3G phone signal.
Eligibility for the offer is listed below:
We will also be giving away SIM cards with up to 200MB of free data per month, and a USB power supply for the tablet and reader.
Due to such a strong response to this offer we have had to close the application form as we have already received over and above the number of submissions for the amount of equipment available. We are so encouraged by the sheer enthusiasm from everyone who has applied and we are sorry that we are not able to offer equipment to everyone who wishes to have it.
As there have been more applications than there are stands and equipment bundles available, we will be using further selection criteria such as location and church size when allocating the equipment.
We will be in touch shortly to let you know if your application has been successful.
